Whit Hertford (born November 2, 1978) is an American actor and writer.

His mother, Carol Hertford, raised Whit and his two younger sisters, Chelsea (Major Dad) and Brighton (General Hospital) in Oak Park, CA. He is the son of the late stage director, Bruce Hertford. He lives in Los Angeles.
A veteran American character actor and writer. He is the co-founder (along with director Ryan Darst) of Sneak Attack films and wrote / produced / starred in their debut, Long Story Short, in which he plays opposite his longtime friend and collaborator, Nora Kirkpatrick (ABC family's Greek and member of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) and also co-stars Matt Jones (Breaking Bad). In 2010 and 2011 it was screened at various festivals including: Ashland Independent Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, and DC Shortsfest among others. Hertford also co-wrote (along with Robert J. Gibbs) and co-produced Sneak Attack’s other short films, Elliott (which premiered at the Napa Valley Film Festival in 2011), and their first feature length film, Dreamworld. Sneak Attack is in current pre-production on the features, the indie musical "Willful Creatures", the comedy heist, "The Caper Kind", and a half-hour TV pilot entitled, "The New Life of Norman Reed" as well as several short films including "Peter at the End" (starring Jon Heder) and the thriller, "Time of Reckoning".
During the first season of the Emmy-awarding FOX comedy Glee (TV series) he played the tyrannical rival choreographer Dakota Stanley. Other recent TV credits include Raising Hope, Psych, How I Met Your Mother, Glory Daze and various appearances on Conan, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, as well as the voice of several characters on Cartoon Network's Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 TV series) and Chowder (TV series). Whit has also worked with Napoleon Dynamite alums Jared Hess & Aaron Ruell on several commercials for Best Buy, Saturn and Comcast cable.
A longtime member of the famed Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Hertford is a current performer and writer at their Los Angeles theatre.
In the online world, Hertford and Kirkpatrick created the Funny or Die original webseries, Happy Place , about hosts (and best friends) of a local children's show in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and their struggle to practice what they preach. He and Phil Morris co-wrote the Funny or Die exclusive, Jackie Chiles: For the People featuring the beloved Seinfeld character. Whit, together with Josh Covitt and Ryan Darst, make-up the brain trust behind the acclaimed sketch video group The Attack!. Their videos have been featured on YouTube (Sketchies II finalist), Funny or Die (2008 MTV Movie Award Short Film submission), Break.com, Tilzy, Crackle, With Leather, The Huffington Post, and CNN.com. He and fellow UCB performer Nathan Barnatt created and co-hosted the variety show extravaganza,That's Incrediblé!. Whit occasionally still performs with several LA improv teams including The Universe.
His career began at an early age most notably with his appearance in Jurassic Park, as well as Jacob in A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child and his recurring role on the sitcom Full House as Walter "Duckface" Berman. He also appeared on multiple episodes of McGee and Me, a Christian children's video series produced by Focus on the Family. He received a Youth in Film award for his voice work on the animated series, Tiny Toon Adventures.
He received a BFA from the University of Utah's Actor Training Program conservatory. There he received Irene Ryan nominations for his work in Georg Kaiser's From Morn to Midnight, The Duchess of Malfi, and You Can't Take It with You. He directed the Utah premiere of Eric Coble's "Bright Ideas" and upon graduation he formed Shortcut Theatre Company and served as the Artistic Director, directing their inaugural production of Sam Shepard's Fool for Love (play) and produced / starred in their follow-up production of True West. During his time in Salt Lake City, Hertford was also a company member of Salt Lake Shakespeare for five seasons.
He is currently working on public art installations with Los Angeles visual artist & innovator, Jihan Zencirli, owner / founder of Geronimo Balloons.
